Plans & Packages

Create the internet services you sell to your subscribers.

Plans vs Packages

In Qserve, a Plan defines the service specification — speed, duration, price, and connection type. A Package is a plan assigned to a specific subscriber, with a start date, expiry date, and status. Think of it as: you create a plan once, and it gets instantiated as a package for each subscriber.

Creating a Plan

  1. Go to Plans → New Plan.
  2. Fill in the plan details (see fields below).
  3. Save. The plan is immediately available when adding subscribers or creating packages.

Service Types Explained

  • PPPoE — Subscriber dials in with a username/password. Best for fiber and fixed wireless with CPE routers.
  • Hotspot — MAC-based authentication through a WiFi captive portal. Best for public WiFi zones.
  • Static IP — Fixed IP address assigned to the subscriber, no PPPoE dialing. Best for businesses needing a permanent IP.

Bandwidth Policies

Bandwidth policies allow you to set time-based speed rules — for example, give subscribers full speed from 6 AM to 10 PM and throttle to 2 Mbps overnight. Go to Bandwidth Policies → New Policy to create a policy, then assign it to a plan.

Archiving vs Deleting Plans

You cannot delete a plan that has active subscriber packages. Instead, archive the plan to hide it from new subscriber assignments while keeping it active for existing subscribers. Archived plans continue to function normally for all existing packages.

Changing a plan's speed or price only affects new packages. Existing subscriber packages keep the speed and price they were originally set up with.
